Psalm 23 Sonnet

The Lord’s my Shepherd—nothing lacks. He makes

Me lie in greenest grass, my soul he takes

Beside the stillest streams, and there restores.

He guides my feet into a righteous course,

And even though I walk within the shade

Of death, I fear no harm, for You have made

My know your Presence, through Your rod and staff;

They comfort me, so I can even laugh,

Though enemies await. You table’s spread

With food for me, and oil to bathe my head,

To heal and honor me. A cup so full

Speaks of a grace that nothing can annul,

Goodness and love must follow all my days,

And in your house I’ll surely dwell always.
