I am a 59-year-old Master Electrician with too many interests to get focused–I need at least 15 lives to live, and maybe 15 million! I’ve been married twice (my first wife died after 25 years, married now again for 12 years and counting!), have two wonderful children and two wonderful step-children, and three granddaughters by my two kids and two grandsons by my stepson.

What else can I say? I am greatly blessed, and learning to enjoy life more as it passes.

I believe the test of our whole lives is how much we come to love God and to love the people He created (even our enemies–when we love them, they cease to be our enemies, at least on our side of the equation!)–in essence, the Greatest Commandment according to Jesus, and the 2nd Greatest. We grow in process from birth (totally self-focused) to death (hopefully close to being totally Other- and other-focused–witness Jesus on the Cross: at least 4 or 5 of the 7 statements are focused on others, and it may even be possible to see the others in that light also!). The essence of the whole test is, “Do I REALLY believe that God is good, and that He REALLY does have MY best interests at heart? (in spite of any and all evidence to the contrary).” This was the initial question the enemy posed to Eve (and by unspoken agreement, to Adam, who stood silently by!), and we are answering it daily with our response to life.

So that’s my story, and I’m sticking to it! More later…
